HVC’s in-house laboratory offers speed, accuracy and value when your pet needs diagnostic lab work. Our skilled technicians and modern equipment provide you and your pet an array of tests on blood, urine and fecal samples, with same day or next day results.  Some test results are available even before your appointment ends. These vital tests help our doctors to diagnose your pet’s illness, or provide quick, accurate and economical results on such annual tests as heartworm, tick diseases and internal parasites.

Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, and parasite testing. For biopsies, cultures or specialized tests, HVC partners with respected veterinary commercial laboratories, providing prompt results from board-certified pathologists and clinical pathologists. X-Rays and Other Diagnostics

HVC’s on site x-ray equipment provides high-quality radiographs, aiding the diagnosis of many disorders. Rapid processing allows our doctors to quickly assess orthopedic and soft tissue problems. We also facilitate local referrals for ultrasound and other imaging procedures.
